BTS HS Success at the 2024 BTS National Duals in Boston

Beat the Streets Lancaster traveled with 25 student-athletes along with 4 coaches from Lancaster and Harrisburg for the 2024 Beat The Streets National Camp & Duals held at Boston University. Many of these young athletes experienced a new city and were able to build relationships with eachother that will last a lifetime.

This team, with minor freestyle experience and giving up forfeits at a few weights, came away with some incredible performances overall with multiple wrestlers going undefeated across 5 matches. We admire them for not only competing and stepping outside of their comfort zone but doing so with honor, despite a win or loss. More importantly, they engaged with a career fair featuring military branches, colleges, trades, and more. They had the opportunity to do a Q&A with successful business leaders and later enjoyed time together while bowling at an entertainment center in downtown Boston.

Finally, the team was able to attend a fantastic showcase event put on by Beat The Streets New England. Two wrestlers, Avery and Gideon, even stepped on the mat to compete against some of the nation's best wrestlers on a live stage. Overall, we're incredibly thankful to everyone that allowed us to give our youth this experience. Please feel free to take a look at more photos of the trip below and thank you again to our donors that made the trip possible!
